xyl was very nice to me and bought one of these [compact flash] to
[IDE] adapters from [eBay].

![compact flash to ide apapter](2007-08-14.compact_flash_to_ide.webp "nice and compact")

This will do away with the need for an IDE cable and will keep things
nice and neat.
